Venue hire at the Centre for Stewardship
The House of Falkland Stables on Falkland Estate is a unique venue to hire for a variety of events and activities.
We can offer flexible meeting spaces that can be used for a variety of purposes: conferences, lectures, board meetings, seminars, weddings, away days, dinners, cooking demonstrations.
The Stables Workshop is a large, light rectangular room. It can be set up to your choice of layout.
The Horse Stalls are great for lunches, refreshments and break-out spaces.
Both spaces can accommodate up to 50 people. The Horse Stalls can be rented out on an hourly basis for smaller more intimate meetings.
The Workshop Courtyard is a lovely outdoor space with ample seating (both covered and uncovered) and pathways leading to some great walks in the woodlands.
Our premises are disabled friendly and there is a large free car park adjacent.
Wi-fi is available throughout the building. Photocopying service available.
We can cater for your visit. Our menu is local, organic, vegetarian or meat and cooked on the premises.
Rates (all prices quoted include VAT at current rate of 20%.)
Full venue hire - Stables Workshop, Horse Stalls and use of the Workshop Courtyard. Rates include tea/coffee (self service at weekends) and refreshments as well as use of conference equipment and wi-fi.
Standard rates, Mon-Fri - full day £250, half day £150
Community/small voluntary groups, Mon-Fri - full day £180, half day £110
Standard rates, weekend - full day £200, half day £120
Community/small voluntary groups, weekend - full day £160, half day £90

Catering options
All our dishes are cooked on the premises using organic ingredients that are in season and locally sourced. Catering is available Mon-Fri only but we can order in alternative catering at the weekend as required.
Option 1 - homemade organic vegetarian soup and homemade rolls. £4.80 per person.
Option 2 - meat or vegetarian casserole dish. £8.40 per person.
Option 3 - main dish with either homemade soup or pudding. £12 per person.
Extras: fruit platter £1 per person, homemade cakes £1.50 per person, selection of Scottish cheeses with oatcakes £2 per person.
Cold platter option 1 - variety of filled rolls, oatcakes, cheeses, hommous, crudities, crisps, fruit, cakes. £6.00 per person.
Cold platter option 2 - variety of breads, salads, oatcakes, cheeses, hommous, crudities, crisps, fruit, cakes.
Water and juice are included.
Private weekend hire - the Stables is an adaptable space for events such as small wedding receptions, naming ceremonies and memorable birthday dinners. Private hires are available for parties of up to 50 people. Hire rate: £20 per hour (minimum 3 hours hire).
Individuals spaces - do you need a quiet space to meet with a client? Are you away from your normal office and need a desk for a couple of hours? We can hire out a Horse Stall for up to 4 people. Rate of £6 per hour includes use of wi-fi and tea/coffee during your visit.
