Volunteering opportunities at Falkland Centre for Stewardship

  • Setting up and dismantling
  • Helping with workshops
  • Visitor evaluations
  • Stewarding
  • Decorating the tents
What we give in return:
  • Designated shifts, so time to enjoy the event before or after your shift.
  • Refreshments provided for you during your shift.
  • Space in the staff campsite.
  • Mix and mingle with upcoming and established artists, authors, musicians, bands and more.
  • Looks great on your CV.
  • Feel good factor - volunteering for others is rewarding.

Download the Big Tent volunteering application form or visit the Big Tent website for more information.

COMPOSTING VOLUNTEERS

We are part of the Falkland Stewards, a partnership of local organisations. The local Master Composter is looking for enthusiastic individuals to help spread the word about the benefits of home composting to people in their local area. This can be done in a number of ways - by assisting at large events (eg Big Tent!), providing information and support to friends, neighbours or other people in your community, informing small groups.

We provide training and support. You can give as much or as little time as you wish.

It's a great way of developing skills and knowledge and experience of working with people while at the same time you will be part of a national scheme to help divert waste from landfill.

The Master Composter Scheme is a Zero Waste Scotland programme. It is managed in North East Fife by the Falkland Stewards. For more information call Jenny Methven on 07900350756 or jenny@centreforstewardship.org.uk.
